Quique Setien is suing Barcelona for complications with his departure from the club, after he was fired following an 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich.
He says that he has not received the compensation he is claiming and believes that the Blaugrana have breached the contract.
“Barcelona has not compensated me or offered me anything,” Setién said in his speech on the program ‘El Partidazo’ on Cadena Cope and Radio MARCA.
“They didn’t even call me to tell me that I had been fired.
“It is obvious that the club is going through a worrying moment, which is something that is clearly noticeable upon arrival and that has a direct impact on sports performance.
“You always believe that you can help solve things from the inside, but that was impossible even though we did everything we could.”
Setien’s assistants – Eder Sarabia, Fran Soto and Jon Pascua – finally managed to reach their respective agreements with Barcelona, although they remained on the payroll until 6 November.
