The large number of infrastructure developments, the solid economic foundation established for the future, with enhanced social activities through a prudent governance system under the past administration of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), serves as a pattern for a comeback.

“The NDC under President John Dramani Mahama laid a solid national foundation, which led to better accessibility to all parts of the country. In the energy sector, we carried out an infrastructure development that killed Dumsor.

“Today, if Ghanaians enjoy continuous electricity in their homes and businesses, it is due to the prudent and extensive investments in infrastructure made by the latest NDC administration led by President Mahama in the energy sector.

“The NDC has had a positive impact on the lives of the people of Ghana in all respects,” therefore the NDC mandate must be renewed to return to the seat of government and make our beloved country, Ghana, a an advanced nation. ”

The NDC in its 2020 Electoral Manifesto labeled: “The Popular Manifesto: Employment and Prosperity for All”, from which the party seeks the mandate of the electorates on December 7, stressed that it seeks to eradicate extreme poverty.

“We need to make sure that all Ghanaians are protected during the transition to a fully modern Ghana, to which the NDC will move the country. It is time to come together as one people, to resume our journey towards building the future of Ghana. It’s possible.

“This is the spirit on which the next NDC government will be built: Justice and Social Equality. We will fight against the harmful effects of the economic mismanagement of the Akufo-Addo Government and we will change the economic model to unearth the creativity of all Ghanaians ”.

The NDC said the results of the current government model over the past four years, at the micro level, were hardship, a rising cost of living, high unemployment, massive job losses and a generally tough economic climate.

“On the macroeconomic front, the growing public debt, the depreciation of the currency and the increase in inflation above the failed goal of the NPP government, the deterioration of the balance of payments and the current poor economic growth are telltale signs of an economy in deep crisis ”.

The NDC has the track record and the experience to reverse this dire economic situation in order to bring relief to the suffering masses of Ghana. Among others, prudent macroeconomic measures will be implemented, based on good management.

The NDC said that public debt would be controlled, if chosen for a comeback, inflation would be minimized and a low tax regime instituted, as well as restoring inclusive growth to appreciable levels, while the business environment would be made conducive. again.

“The long-suffering Ghana Cedi will stabilize and strengthen. The private sector will receive the largest employment-related stimulus package in Ghana’s history. The financial sector will be cleaned up and emphasis will be placed on Ghana’s growing participation in the economy.

“We will immediately put an end to vindictive targets and the collapse of Ghana’s indigenous businesses and the resulting loss of jobs. Job creation will be the overriding concern of the next NDC government as a way to improve the livelihoods of our people, under the One Million Jobs Plan, EDWUMA PA ”.

The NDC explained that there would be a significant annual recruitment of young Ghanaians in an expanded and productive public sector based on a carefully conducted human resource gap analysis.

In addition, “we will launch a National Apprenticeship Program that will train technically qualified human resources for rapid industrialization, job creation and entrepreneurship. The NDC has done this before by ensuring the most stable and prosperous period of economic management during which the highest rates of economic growth and the longest sustained period of single digit inflation were recorded. ”

The NDC will once again generate economic growth that creates sustainable infrastructure and jobs, building on this record, “we will lead Ghana into an era of shared prosperity in which all Ghanaians will reap the fruits of their labor and not a privileged few who extract resources. state for your exclusive benefit.

“Ghana cannot afford to do things the same way as before. The survival and success of current and future generations require a much more urgent and, in some cases, painful change in the prevailing economic and social relations ”.

The NDC noted that it is seeking a comeback to prepare Ghana to deal with current global changes, and “we are ready to lead the country in opening new horizons, instilling a new sense of purpose in our people, catching up with what we have missed taking steps to enhance our growth.

“The next NDC government is ready to build a knowledge-based economy to bring the country more quickly into the new world of smart manufacturing and digital services; “This will not only generate growth, but also prosperity for all Ghanaians.

“We will create not only jobs, but sustainable and decent jobs so that people can live a dignified life, therefore we ask Ghanaians to vote overwhelmingly for former President Mahama once again as President and Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the first female Vice President of Ghana ”.
