Dancehall artist Samini is not taking his support for the New Patriotic Party (PNP) lightly ahead of the 2020 general election.
In addition to singing the party’s praise on social media, hitmaker ‘Sweet Mistake’ has joined the party on its campaign.
He was seen at one of NPP’s campaign events in Dansoman, in the Greater Accra region, performing before the electorates.
He performed ‘Kpoyaka’, the campaign song he wrote to back up the promises of the party manifesto.
The party had come to the constituency to also unveil a statue of the late Theresa Amerley Tagoe, who was a member of the party and a deputy to the Member of Parliament for the South Ablekuma constituency.
Samini, who had previously convicted celebrities for openly endorsing political parties, supported the PNP in early November 2020.
He received mixed reactions when he declared his support for the party just a month before the elections.
“These are challenging times for the world. My Voice, My Vote will support leadership that has empathy and serves to create a hopeful future for the next generation, ”he wrote on Twitter.
