An industry watchdog, Ricky Tenneson Kotey, revealed that Samini first approached the Democratic National Congress (NDC) for an endorsement deal, but was rejected.

He told MzGee in a video seen by Zionfelix.net on TV3’s ‘Simply Showbiz’ show that the popular musician told the NDC that he was one of them, so they should go into business, but it didn’t work out.

After this, he targeted the New Patriotic Party and after an agreement was reached, he composed the song promoting Nana Addo’s achievement.

Ricky emphasized that Samini is entrepreneurial minded, and this has also helped him get the attention he has longed for for some time.

According to him, most of the people in the industry are desperate for profits and not for the development of the industry.

Background:

A few days ago, the first line of the High-Grade Family released a song titled ‘Kpoyaka’ to highlight the accomplishments of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Some music fans and industry actors criticized him for challenging his words of not endorsing or publicly stating his political affiliation.
