The founder and CEO of Salt Media Ghana Limited and Mayday Entertainment, Mr. Charles Kwame Frimpong, has donated some support to the bereaved family of the late Kumawood actor, Bishop Nyarko, as he takes the opportunity to sound the caution to the industry to communicate and help each other especially in these difficult times.

“Bishop was an extraordinary talent. The news of his death left me heartbroken, ”shared Kwame Frimpong.

Continuing with his statement, Mr. Frimpong noted that “These are astronomically difficult times. The COVID-19 threat alone is a loud and terrifying wake-up call. We are all vulnerable. Jobs are being lost. Budgets and savings are running low. As we all struggle to stay alive, we in the Film, Music, Theater, Media and Creative Arts spaces must also seriously rethink how we can help each other to prosper and survive. It is time to be intentional about our mutual support. Help your colleague in the industry as you can. Let’s not wait to do this after they are gone. I am convinced that Salt Media Gh and Mayday Entertainment do their best to support the same players in the industry who have provided us with some of the best entertainment that keeps us all through good and bad times. ”

Bishop Nyarko, born Bernard Kwame Nyarko, was a staple in the scene of the Kumawood movie. His natural talent and, without a doubt, his great passion for the roles he played, were often the first and lasting impressions he left on anyone who had the pleasure of seeing one of his films. Likewise, on his chosen path as a religious leader, Bishop, as many affectionately called him to the chamber, shared a similar passion and an innate desire to use his voice and strong feeling to draw more people to Almighty God.
