Rose Byrne departed from her usual practices to publicly wish her partner Bobby Cannavale a happy 50th birthday on Sunday.

The 40-year-old actress seemed paralyzed by the Irish actor in a photo she shared on Instagram to commemorate the occasion.

Rose was casually dressed in a purple sweater and was fondly looking at Bobby, who was wearing a gray polo shirt and a black baseball cap from the New York Yankees.

“Happy birthday handsome,” captioned the snap.

The Spy actress also shared a sweet photo of one of Bobby’s birthday gifts, an icy heart-shaped gift covered in mini chocolate chips and decorated with delicate flowers.

The gift was accompanied by a scribbled drawing that looked like it was made by her four-year-old sons Rocco and Rafa, two, although Rose might have helped with the writing: “Happy birthday Dada!”

Speaking to InStyle magazine in December, Rose spoke about her relationship with the Vinyl star and her two children.

“Meeting Bobby and having my children was the biggest, deeply emotional turning point in my life,” he said.

“It is very difficult to speak without sounding like a cliche because it is much more than that.”

The New York-based couple has not only raised a family, but they have also acted together on multiple film projects.

The two appeared together in the 2014 remake of Annie, as well as the Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy, and even portrayed a married couple in the 2014 drama Adult Beginners.

Most recently, they completed an updated version of the Greek tragedy Medea at the Brooklyn Academy of Music shortly before the coronavirus pandemic closed theaters.

The two have been doing their best to survive as they are quarantined together as a family.

Earlier this week, Rose posted a photo of herself in a medical grade white mask that was partially covered by a gray cloth mask.

“Bending over,” he joked in the caption.
