Robert Lewandowski could only make room for a single Premier League star by naming his top five favorite strikers in world football.
Manchester City star Sergio Agüero was chosen alongside Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain, Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, Luis Suárez of Barcelona and RB Leipzig rival Timo Werner.
Argentine hitman Agüero has scored 180 Premier League goals for the club and has established himself as one of the biggest imports on English soil due to his exploits at the Etihad Stadium.

‘A difficult question. If we talk about (number) nine, I’d say: Karim Benzema, Timo Werner, Luis Suárez, Sergio Agüero and Kylian Mbappe, ” Lewandowski said, according to Goal.com, when asked to choose five of his rivals as the best.

It is a competitive field and his ruthless picks meant Premier League hitmen including Marcus Rashford of Manchester United, Harry Kane of Tottenham and Jamie Vardy of Leicester all lost a mention of the Polish international.
Lewandowski also identified rival club Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland as a potential star of the future after 12 goals in 11 games since he moved to Germany in January from Red Bull Salzburg.
At Haaland, Lewandowski said: “He has great potential, but he still has time.” I don’t want to pressure him with my statements.
‘If you work hard, you can become a better player and eventually reach the highest level.
“So it could be good for him if he stayed in the Bundesliga longer before taking the next step.”
With the Bundesliga set to resume this weekend, Lewandowski’s Bayern Munich will travel to Union Berlin on Sunday with the aim of extending the four-point lead they had at the top of the table before the league was suspended in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
