Richard Ofori reveals Fatau Dauda’s role in his move to Orlando Pirates

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori has revealed the role Fatau Dauda played in his move to the Orlando Pirates.

The 26-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Sowetan giants in the Premier Soccer League. [PSL].

The signing puts an end to months of speculation about his future and in his first interview with Orlando Pirates TV channel, Ofori revealed that Fatau Dauda influenced his movement.

“2017 we went to AFCON, and we were talking about the team, and then he said the team is a very good team, they are a good family, coming together is a good team to come together,” the former Wa All-Stars said the goalkeeper.

“So we were talking about it and I got excited because that time I wasn’t playing here either, so I was feeling it and I said, this team is a great team and then the way Fatau was talking about it, I feel like one day that I can play for the team “

“So being here right now I feel very excited,” he added.

Ofori joined the Pirates from Maritzburg United.
Fatau Dauda was with the Orlando Pirates in the 2013/2014 season in South Africa.
