Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori has described his move from Maritzburg United to Orlando Pirates as a dream come true.
The 26-year-old shortstop signed a three-year deal with the South African giants, who have long targeted the Ghanaian to solve their goalkeeping woes.
The Buccaneers in a statement announced the capture of the agile Ghanaian goalkeeper who signed a three-year contract with the club.
“The 26-year-old signed with the Buccaneers after agreeing to the terms of a three-year contract,” the club’s statement said.
After the signing, the player told the club in an interview that he felt good to be part of the full-back because the Pirata could be compared to any of the biggest clubs in the world.
“It feels so good,” said Ofori, in an exclusive chat with the club’s YouTube channel. “The Pirates are one of the biggest teams in the world, so I am very excited to sign with them.
“It’s like a dream come true because every player wants to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. So I feel happy and at home.”
