Reports: William Saliba has no future at Arsenal

William Saliba could have made a big mistake choosing his next club after leaving Saint-Etienne as he faces an uphill battle to make a name for himself at the Emirates Stadium.

The 19-year-old has yet to don the red and white jersey for a competitive game this season despite arriving in the summer amid much optimism.

Saliba spent last season on loan with former club Saint-Etienne before arriving in the English capital, but the Frenchman has been restricted to appearances with youth teams and was recently sent off against Wimbledon by the Under-21s in the EFL Trophy.

According to Eurosport, Saliba is unlikely to have an impact on Arsenal as long as Arteta is in control of the reins and could be ready for a quick exit.

The teenager was expected to be loaned out again during the summer transfer window but ultimately remained at Arsenal, although the report claims the powers that be in north London are not convinced Saliba will cut him in the Premier League.

Saliba signed a contract with Arsenal until 2024 when he signed for the club last summer.
