Tottenham Hotspur is one of the teams that looks set to miss out on Rhian Brewster, with the Sheffield Star reporting that Jurgen Klopp feels the Liverpool forward would be better off at Sheffield United if he leaves Anfield this summer.
Brewster is attracting a lot of attention during this window. A recent Goal report claimed that six Premier League teams want the striker.
The Sheffield Star has since reported that it is discussing a possible move to Bramall Lane. It is suggested that Liverpool want to agree on a loan rather than a permanent deal for the 20-year-old.
But interestingly, the Sheffield Star has added the Spurs to the list of teams that will be lost if Brewster joins Chris Wilder’s side.
TBR View: Loan from Spurs would make less sense for Liverpool
Arguably, it would be great business for Tottenham if they could land Brewster in any capacity this season.
He appears to have an incredibly bright future ahead of him and proved his prowess in senior football with 11 conceded goals at Swansea City during the second half of last season.
But it’s no wonder Liverpool are willing to take him elsewhere. If he is going to go on loan, the change to Tottenham would be a risk.
Of course, it is versatile. But he faces a monumental task trying to get to the side ahead of Harry Kane.
There would be opportunities with the Spurs potentially fighting on four fronts. But you can understand why Klopp is apparently confident that he would be better off with the Blades if he leaves.
