Deputy Attorney General (AG) Godfred Dame has urged the youth of Ghana to reject the candidacy of former NDC president and presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming general election.

The deputy prosecutor warned the youth not to vote for Mr. John Mahama when he joined the eastern youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP) in a “Boots on Ground” walk.

The walk was aimed at encouraging young people to vote for the Akufo-Addo government to do more good works for themselves and the economy in general.

Deputy AG was in the company of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Fanteakwa, Kwabena Amankwa Asiamah and some prominent activists from the ruling party.

They marched through the main streets and market of Begoro in the Region.

Addressing the crowd during the walk, Mr. Godfred Dame urged the people of Fanteakwa North to “remember the corrupt acts of the John Mahama administration that led the people of Ghana to reject John Mahama.”

It also reminded them of the bad government of the old John Mahama government.

” In the time of John Mahama, the nation witnessed a president transfer more than 60% of the nation’s known bauxite resources to a company owned by his brother. The nation has not forgotten the Dzifa Attivor bus scandal, the Ford expedition scandal, the “guinea fowl episode” and many other corrupt acts of a rude nature committed in the John Mahama administration. Therefore, Mahama must be rejected again in the December 7 vote.

” President Akufo-Addo has made a difference by ruling in a way free from such shameful scandals. We are reaping the fruits of good governance, which is the envy of many West African nations. The SHS Free policy, the strengthening of the Health Insurance System, free meals for students in basic schools, the effective management of COVID-19, free water and electricity since the beginning of Covid-19 and many more Important social intervention measures attest to the strength of the Akufo-Addo government, ” he said.

He stressed “Nana deserves 4 more”.

Deputy AG also asked the Fanteakwa constituents to retain their incumbent deputy, Hon. Amankwah Asiamah.

He culminated the walk with a visit to the Omanhene Palace which provided him and his team with a warm reception.

The Regent also gave his blessings to the New Patriotic Party.
