Ghana’s veteran hiplife musician Reggie Rockstone has reacted to Wei Ye Oteng’s pronouncement on the Kumerica trend.
The music producer in a post on Facebook claimed that the Kumerica movement had no future and died upon arrival.
His statement has been harshly criticized by fans of the new trend.
Kumawood actor Bernard Aduse-Poku, also known as Koo Musuo, even asked him to shut up if he didn’t have anything positive to say.
After ZionFelix shared a video of Oteng standing alongside his earlier statements on Instagram, Reggie Rockstone reacted by defending the Kumerica movement.
He believed that new talents will emerge through this trend, and he sees nothing wrong because it is very evident that everything is humor.
Hiplife’s grandfather pointed out how this can reduce some social vices as the Kumerica movement will keep young people busy.
He advised critics of the movement to leave those concerned alone. Reggie also asked for support for the creativity these young people exhibit.
