A self-proclaimed United Nations (UN) Global Ambassador, Kwame Fordjour, is trending on social media for the wrong reasons.

This follows information that their award scheme, the Global Blueprint Excellence Awards, is not credible.
Kwame Fordjour, who considers himself a Ph.D. holder, celebrated what he called the Seventh Global Leadership Service for Humanity Awards on Friday, August 28, 2020.

The winners came from various walks of life with artists, politicians, businessmen, among others on the list.
At the awards, “Dr.” Fordjour handed out plaques inscribed with “UN Kofi Annan Awards of Excellence” in an attempt to establish a link between the plan, the UN and the late Kofi Annan.
But days later, it turned out that the organizer of the awards is a shady character with no connections to the United Nations or Kofi Annan.
This has caused quite a stir on social media and people are wondering who this guy Kwadow Fordjour is.
YEN.com.gh He has gathered some facts about Fordjour shared by people who know him, including one of his childhood friends.
1. Real name:
Being a scammer, Kwame Fordjour goes by many different names. Aside from being known as Kwame Owusu Fordjour, he also answers to Wayne Winston.
But from what we gather, his real name is Emmanuel and those who know him personally call him Emma.
In the past, he was called Wyclef.

2. City of origin:
Fordjour’s childhood friends say that he is from Kumasi and that they stayed in the Santasi area with him.
3. Age:
Fordjour’s age is not exactly known, but he should be between 37 and 40 years old, considering he completed high school in 2001.
4. School / Education:
Fordjour’s friends reveal that he attended KNUST SHS in Kumasi, where he completed in 2001.
5. How your problems started:
While Fordjour is said to have been a very good student at SHS, he did not pass his SSSCE very well. He is said to have earned a total of 24 as a science student, making tertiary education difficult for him.
After failing to pursue his education, Fordjour started his shady deals, some of which included selling previous questions to WASSCE as ‘apor’ and granting fake KNUST admissions to 10 people for 1,500 GHC each in 2001.

6. Desired BNI:
KNUST’s admissions scam put him on the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) wanted list, prompting him to disappear from Kumasi for so many years.
7. Deportation from the UK:
Fordjour’s friends indicate that after he left Kumasi, not much was heard from him until he was tried to travel to the UK but was deported at Heathrow airport.
8. Shepherd’s son:
Fordjour is said to be the son of a shepherd who is a soft-spoken person.
9. Doctor or not:
Fordjour has remained a Ph.D. and his profile on the website for the awards scheme indicates that he attended Harvard University in America.
According to those who first exposed him, their checks with Harvard show no records of him at school.
10. He’s a rapper:
On a lighter note, Fordjour is also a rapper who has released songs one of which is titled Freedom.
Meanwhile, the man at the center of the UN awards saga, Kofi Annan, has broken his silence.
In an interview with JoyNews supervised by YEN.com.ghFordjour has given a vigorous defense of the plan.
According to him, the scheme is governed by rules and is not false as portrayed by the media.
He also revealed that as a result of the awards and revelations, he has received death threats.
