Real Madrid: Three conclusions from the valiant victory over Inter Milan
Following a crucial victory in the Champions League on Tuesday, Real Madrid received great news about two of their key players.
Real Madrid have just won back-to-back games and received good news when they returned to training on Wednesday.
The first is that Sanitas medical staff working for the club have determined winger Eden Hazard is not seriously injured after taking a hard tackle from Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic around time last night.
The Belgian star was able to complete half of the normal training session on Wednesday with the first team before moving to an auxiliary field for the recovery session of the players who played the game against Inter.
I, like many Madridistas, was sure that Brozovic purposely left a mark on Hazard’s ankle. Fortunately, it was just a minor blow that won’t keep number seven out of the game this weekend at Mestalla Stadium.

Hazard made his season debut in a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach just over a week ago and has now started the last two games. His goal against Huesca and his involvement against Inter shows that he is beginning to recover his sharpness and the form of the game.
The other great news from training specifically is that Martin Odegaard worked with the team from start to finish and reportedly looked perfectly healthy. Odegaard made his last appearance for Real Madrid on October 4 and was injured in international service with Norway on October 14 against Northern Ireland.
The other good news leaking from the club this Wednesday afternoon is that captain Sergio Ramos is close to signing a contract extension with Real Madrid.
The leader on and off the field of Los Blancos is in the final year of his current five-year contract, but as many expected, Ramos will sign for another year or two. With the 34-year-old looking better than ever, it is a given that Sergio will extend his time in the Spanish capital, it all depends on the details and duration of the new contract.
Ramos scored the 100th goal of his spectacular career at Real Madrid in Tuesday’s victory.
