Giovanni Reyna is the next potential superstar on Real Madrid’s wish list as they prepare to go big next summer, it has been reported.
After a summer transfer window in which they did not spend a penny, Real Madrid is believed to be preparing for an expensive year in 2021, with several major stars on their radar.
While Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé have always been at the top of the list, Marca reports that Bernabéu bosses are also on the lookout for Dortmund’s next big thing, Reyna.
Gio, the son of former Manchester City and Rangers midfielder Claudio, has already ignited the Bundesliga, even though he is only 17 years old.
Reyna has two goals and four assists in just five games in all competitions so far this season, recording a hat-trick last time out.
Real Madrid’s potential big summer spending at the end of the 2020-21 season could be reminiscent of the old days when they based their transfer windows on signing a ‘Galactic’ each year.
In the past it has been Ronaldo, David Beckham, Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane, and players like Haaland, Mbappé and Reyna could be next.
As it is this season, Real Madrid leads the LaLiga table with three wins and a draw in its first four games.
