Ghana striker Kwabena Owusu is delighted to help Qarabag avoid defeat in a 2-2 draw against Sumqayıt FK in the Azerbaijani Premier League on Friday.
Ali Ghorbani scored the first goal of the match for Sumqayit in the 52nd minute of the second half after a goalless first half.
Russian defender Dzhamaldin Khodzhaniyazov extended the hosts’ lead two minutes later from close range.
But Qarabag fought back and deservedly halved the deficit thanks to Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu just before the hour.
The visitors appeared to be losing the battle with five minutes left until Croatian midfielder Filip Ozobić scored the tying goal to snatch a point from his side.
Owusu has scored two goals in four games this season in the Azerbaijani Premier League.
