Christian Pulisic admits that none of his Chelsea teammates spoke to him during the first THREE DAYS.
Pulisic signed with Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund last January before formally joining last summer.
Talking to Jermaine Jones about the 13 and ME podcastPulisic said: “It was very crazy what happened. I had to fly directly from my summer vacation right after the Gold Cup.
“I had a week off and really had no summer. The team had already started the preseason in Japan, so I flew directly there and had to literally fly alone and then I met the team that had flown in from London.
“I had to go directly to the hotel and the next thing on the calendar was to go directly to training. I was tired, nervous and didn’t know what to think, but “I’m in Chelsea and this is crazy.”
“I got on the bus, they had also just arrived. Everyone is half asleep, I go and sit on the bus and nobody has noticed me.
“Nobody said anything. Maybe there was one or two guys who said ‘hello hello’ and I thought what’s going on here?
“Those first days of training I was nervous. You know how it is when you move to a new team.
“They are good guys off the field, but to earn that respect you have to show on the field that you have that ability, that’s how it is.”
“I had to go on day three when I had a really good workout, I scored some goals, I had some nice plays and assists and then I felt that the guys came and talked to me and got their respect. It’s interesting how it works, but they’ve been great guys and I’ve enjoyed it. “
