Democratic National Congress (NDC) Vice President Candidate Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang says the next NDC-led government will commit to more development projects for Ghana’s Zongo communities.

Speaking at the Ejuwra Zongo Chief’s Palace as part of his regional tour of Ashanti, he said that the NDC, as a party for all, will continue its development agenda with the establishment of an Islamic College of Education to train teachers of the Arab schools in Zongos and equip them. best.

She believes this teacher and physician training will develop better human resources and help address some unique needs at Zongos.

According to her, the 2020 NDC Popular Manifesto has key provisions for Zongo communities, such as an interest-free Suyaya Fund that can be accessed by businesses and individuals.

Ejuwra Zongo boss Alhaji Mohammed Alhassan expressed his gratitude to the NDC running mate for the courtesy call and prayed for peaceful elections.

Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang later visited the grieving family of a regional executive, Mr. Matthew Njoukone, who lost his mother, to express her condolences and support for the party while crying.

Members of the delegation on the Ashanti regional tour include national and regional party executives, parliamentarians, former ministers and other prominent members of the NDC.
