The Democratic National Congress (NDC) has promised to include private schools in the Free Senior High School program presented by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Delivering highlights from the 2020 NDC manifesto on Monday, September 7, 2020, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang stated that a future NDC administration will make the free SHS better and more inclusive.

“The next NDC government will do the following: enhance the free upper secondary school program by ensuring its many challenges are addressed and higher standards are introduced b. expand the Free SHS program to serve private high school students in underserved / underserved areas c. abolish the two-way system, “he said.

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Congress promised to build a national airport in the Upper East region if the party wins the December 7 elections.

This was revealed by the party’s standard bearer, John Dramani Mahama, during the launch of the party’s manifesto at the Accra University for Professional Studies on Monday.

Mahama said, “We will build a national airport in the Upper East region,” adding that “the land was secured when I was president, so we will continue with it.”

The former president also stated that the Kumasi airport will be upgraded to accommodate larger aircraft, adding that various markets across the country will see a facelift using the Kejetia module.

“We will establish mini gold refineries in the gold producing areas. We will partner with the private sector to help us achieve this. We will stop the export of unrefined gold. “

The former president added that his next government will repeal the law that prohibits the importation of recovered vehicles. He also reiterated his promise to legalize Okada and regulate it to provide meaningful jobs for the unemployed.
