Some men and women of God have been seen in Kyekyewere along the Accra-Kumasi highway praying to God with the aim of imploring him to avoid accidents on that highway.

The prayer warriors, all members of the God Healing Mountain Ministerial Church, moved along the Accra-Kumasi highway and offered prayers at various bus stops.

They made stops at Asuboi, Teacher Mante, Omenako, Apedwa, Mankrong, Asafo, Ayinasin and Bunso, which are considered flash points according to Ghana’s traffic accident statistics.

Akufo-Addo finally breaks the silence on secessionist groups; says the government will take care of them

The team leader, the prophet Isaac Oppong, said that the accident rate on the highway was due to evil spirits.

He added that the prayer movement was something that God put in their hearts to prevent future accidents.

He continued to advise drivers who hit the road frequently to stop driving recklessly.

The prophet also admonished drivers to put down their personal driving problems and focus on work so that they can reach their destinations in one piece.

Reacting to the prayer movement, the Eastern Regional Director of the National Highway Safety Authority (NRSA), Abdulai Bawa Ghamsah, indicated that “accidents or collisions are not acts of God.”

Meanwhile, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has shown that while he has an incomparable love for his country as a minister, he also cannot forget his first love as a cardiac surgeon.

The astute Ghanaian is currently the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation of the government led by Akufo-Addo.
