He added that “no community should allow rigging. The chiefs and the people should form a communal working group to protect the ballot, protect the integrity of the vote. They must not allow anyone to subvert the will of the people. If that is done, we know that John Mahama is in pole position to win the election. Mr. Ofosu Ampofo said this when addressing the chiefs and people of Asuokaw in the Upper West Akyem constituency on Friday, concluding the five-day tour of NDC vice president candidate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

She began the tour with a visit to the palace of Nana Afrakoma II, Queen Supreme Mother of Akwamuman, where she was greeted by a gigantic crowd. Professor Opoku-Agyemang also had a fruitful meeting with the queen mothers of the eastern region in Koforidua.

The eminent traditional rulers association expressed its desire to collaborate with the NDC vice president candidate to improve the well-being of women and children across the country, as expressed in the People’s Manifesto.
