Actress Lydia Forson has stated that the comments of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, that Parliament is not for actors expose how politicians feel about them.

The minister, while campaigning for the PNP parliamentary candidate, Lydia Alhassan, last Friday, November 27, 2020, in Ayawaso West Wuogon, cast shadows on John Dumelo claiming that Parliament was a serious matter and not for the actors.

However, his comments did not sit well with many personalities in the industry, especially those in the film industry.

Referring to development, Lydia Forson told JoyNews’ Doreen Avio that she likes it when politicians talk like this because it exposes how they really feel about actors and adds that they don’t respect them.

“They respect the power we have, they respect influence, they respect how much they can use us. So what happens is that every four years they will use us to get votes but then they don’t give us a seat at the table because they don’t respect us.

“They will come and call me Lydia Forson maybe to go talk about social networks because they think that is all you are worth, but not to talk about politics or education. They don’t respect you, ”he said.

Lydia Forson also assured that she will vote on December 7 and urged Ghanaians to come out and cast their vote peacefully.
