Pogba Has ‘Very GOOD Attitude’ And Could Stay In Man Utd Says Solskjaer – Ghana Soccer Latest News, Live Scores, Results

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that winning trophies will help convince players like Paul Pogba that their future remains at Manchester United.

Pogba has only won two major trophies since arriving at Old Trafford, where he won the League Cup and the Europa League during his first campaign in 2016-17 with José Mourinho.

But since then he has struggled to establish himself within United’s first team and that has led his agent Mino Raiola to claim that he will be leaving the club in the near future.

However, Solskjaer believes that the midfielder can still play a role at United and that the France midfielder can be prevented from leaving the Red Devils for a second time if the club starts fighting for top honors more regularly.

“It is always a requirement here at Manchester United to win trophies,” Solskjaer told ESPN. And the more we win trophies, the more players will want to play for us, so the higher standard must be set.

‘It is a demand for the players, a challenge for the players that we want to get better and better.

Paul has been here for a while and of course wants to win more trophies. He has a very, very good attitude to training and playing soccer.

“He loves football, he is ambitious, he wants to succeed, like most of those who are in the team. We are not all the same.

“I would say that this squad has impressed me with their attitude and spirit lately and the way they do their job.

“Of course, it is up to us to win trophies and then we will see who will be part of the team in the future.”

United are back in action on Wednesday night as they look to reach the semi-finals of the League Cup when they visit Everton.

Last season, Solskjaer’s team reached the quarter-finals of the competition, as well as the FA Cup and the Europa League, but were unable to win either of them as they ended the season without a trophy.

The United manager believes his team has grown mentally stronger from experience and has challenged his team to move on and start reaching the final.

‘We were disappointed not to have reached a final or to lift a trophy [last season]but that’s the next step for these players now, ‘added Solskjaer.

I think everyone felt how close we were and the mood, spirit and culture have improved since then. And belief. The belief has definitely grown. ‘
