The Spanish strategist insisted the club was ready for the next two periods of player movement as they struggle to break out of their slump.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insists the club has planned its next two transfer windows, as he claimed some of the team’s poor results were due to bad luck.
The Gunners languish in 15th place after amassing just 14 points from 14 games, and are just four points ahead of Fulham in the relegation zone.
Ahead of the Carabao Cup clash against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, Arteta explained that Arsenal manager Edu had a plan for the movement of players to and from the club, while he himself will seek to improve the template.
“The planning is done, what we want to do in January and in the summer,” said Arteta.
“Sometimes you can do it, sometimes without depending on many factors. Edu is dealing with that right now and I’m focused on all the games, we don’t have much time to spend energy on that now because it’s very clear what we want to do.
“My job is to make the most of this squad, the players we have. We know what we want to do and we will try to execute it knowing that the current context, the market and what we have been through make it difficult.” “
Arsenal have only won one of the last 10 Premier League games with seven defeats and the North London side fell on the league table.
Arteta feels that his team has been unlucky on several occasions this season and insists that there are factors against the club that are beyond his control.
“All the possible scenarios that can happen in a Premier League match are considered there, what is really affecting the results, what is really affecting what is happening during the game in 96 minutes, and it works,” he said.
“But soccer is not like basketball. In basketball you shoot 50 times and the opponent shoots once and you win every game. In soccer it doesn’t work like that. You can do it the other way around and lose 1 0. We lost to Burnley at not to concede any shots on the opponent’s goal.
“We lost it, which is unbelievable, but unfortunately it happens in football. Even those things that you have to be able to control, it’s quite complicated. I tell you that last year we were winning games with a 25% chance of winning, but we are so efficient when we put ourselves in this position.
“This is football, but if you are constantly in the sixties and seventies [per cent] In the long term you are going to win many more games and that is what we try to do. And believe it, hold onto that, but keep improving because there’s always a reason why you don’t win and that’s what we have to change. “
