Miralem Pjanic has given a revealing interview ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Juventus, where he admitted that he is unhappy with his playing time since moving to Camp Nou.
The 30-year-old has started all five of Barça’s group stage games in Europe, but has only had one start in La Liga. The rest of his five league appearances have come off the bench.
Pjanic says he can’t understand why he hasn’t seen more playing time this season.
“I should have played more and I want to. Honestly, I don’t understand why I haven’t done it, ”he said.
“I want to play a lot more. I know I can give much more and I have done well every time the coach called me. I do not know what else to do. I am training well and ready to play more.
“I cannot be satisfied and I am not. I never accepted the idea of not playing and I will not now. It’s a very delicate situation and I don’t like it ”.

It’s hard to disagree with Pjanic given the way Barça have performed this season. The newcomer has seemed assured when Koeman has given him chances, but the Dutch manager seems to prefer Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong as his midfielder pair today.
