Stefano Pioli has opened up to the secret of AC Milan’s perfect start to the season after they clinched another win against Celtic.

A 3-1 win over the Scottish champions in the Europa League on Thursday was a good way for AC Milan to kick off their Group H campaign.

Coming just five days after a 2-1 win over Inter, it was even more enjoyable for the head coach, who has seen his team win every game so far this season.

Goals from Rade Krunic, Brahim Diaz and substitute Jens Hauge saw Neil Lennon at Parkhead.

“We handled the game well, even if in the second half we were less technically accurate and we took a little risk,” Pioli said after the match.

“It was important to show that we are not a normal team showing less encouragement after a so desired victory like the derby.

“The secret? We all work in one direction, club, coaching staff, players, we all feel involved.”

Talking to the Italian station Sky sportPioli added: “The secret is in the work, the sacrifice and the desire to improve.”

AC Milan will return to Serie A action on Monday when they face Roma, who also triumphed in the Europa League on Thursday with a 2-1 win over Young Boys.

Pioli’s team have won four of four to top the league table and are now unbeaten in 21 games in all competitions.

“Our strength is to think that the next game is always the most important, and we have to carry on with this mentality,” Pioli said. Milan TV.

“In harmony we work much better. I always tell the players to take advantage of every moment and improve more and more, because in football the tests never end: you always have to show.

“On Monday we will have a very important and difficult test, against a strong rival with quality, especially at the offensive level. We will do everything possible to continue this positive streak.”

After their clash with Roma, AC Milan will host Sparta Prague in Europa League action and the visitors will lose their opening group match 4-1 against Lille.
