Piers Morgan Sends a Three-Word Message to the Premier League Before Crunchy Talks

Piers Morgan has once again called for the Premier League season to be canceled.

This comes before the crucial meeting on Monday in which the top 20 flight clubs will meet via video link for crunchy conversations about plans to resume the campaign.

But Piers is not a fan of possible league restart plans under the Restart Project and would prefer it to be abandoned entirely.

Following the news that an unidentified Brighton player has tested positive for coronavirus, Morgan has called for the cancellation of the Premier League.

The Arsenal fan, whose team ranks ninth in the table and 42 points off the pace of league leaders Liverpool, shared a brief message with his 7.4 million followers.

Quoting by tweeting the BBC Sport news article about the Brighton player, Piers wrote: “Cancel. The. Season.”

This is not the first time that Piers has spoken openly about wanting the season to be canceled.

Last month, after Holland decided to cancel the Eredivisie, he tweeted: “I honestly think that (voiding) is (the fairest way). Any other solution I have seen is less fair than simply accepting that the season cannot end. and cancel.

“Holland has realized that, but we are still desperately trying to save a season that cannot be saved.”

Gary Lineker quickly responded to the host of Good Morning Britain when the former professional replied, “Tell Liverpool fans.
