Liverpool are at the top of the Premier League table, alone. The Reds are ahead of Manchester United by just two points. Many believed that Jürgen Klopp’s team would race with him again this season as the teams around him began to fail, but here we are. Phil Neville believes Manchester United will challenge Liverpool this season.
Liverpool just ahead
In fact, it’s incredibly impressive that the Reds are at the top of the table.
Despite losing all of their defense at one point or another, despite losing first-team stripes, Liverpool top the table.
We’ve lost points through carelessness throughout the season, but these missed opportunities can be attributed to tired legs and broken sides.
As soon as we are back in top shape, the guys are sure to start moving forward again.

At the time of writing, the gap is just two points with the Reds set to travel to Newcastle United to set the online record after a home draw with West Brom.
Gary Neville on Liverpool’s title rivals
This week has been an initial stop in the Premier League.
The last seven days have seen postponements, the best teams lost points and late winners.
As the dust settles, the Reds’ Northwest rivals are breathing down Jürgen Klopp’s neck. Speaking to Amazon Prime Video after the latest United winner, Phil Neville said:
“I think what you have to do when you are looking at a title race is to look at the competition.
“Liverpool are in front and rightly so, I think they are the best team in the country. But there is no other team that is really willing to challenge Liverpool.
“Chelsea have been wrong, Tottenham have been wrong recently, Everton is up there and they are in very good shape. Other than that, Manchester City is climbing.
“United are in this title race if they maintain this level of performance. They are playing better football, they are entertaining, they start to win at home. They have a great squad, they are scoring goals ”.
What does RTK have to say
Phil Neville praising Liverpool is always music to the ears.
However, hearing that Man United is slowly coming into focus is unsettling.
The Red Devils have had impressive results in recent weeks.
Although we should not get carried away, they are still prone to bottling it.
As long as the Reds don’t capitulate and we don’t lose more players to long-term injuries, we should be fine.
