New Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu got off to a brilliant start Sunday afternoon when he led the Phobians to defeat WAFA SC 4-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The young Ghanaian strategist was assigned the job last week after he resigned from the Premier League’s Medeama SC.
Coach Samuel Boadu took over his new role today and got his tactic right, as his stars gave him a bit of luck in the 20th minute when the visitors saw a defender (Ibrahim Abukari) sent off.
With the lead, the Hearts of Oak players capitalized and scored thanks to an effort by Patrick Razak to take the lead before the break.
Going on to dominate the game in the second half, Hearts of Oak scored an additional three goals to lead to a resounding victory.
There were goals from Isaac Mensah, Raddy Ovouka and Michelle Sarpong to seal Hearts of Oak’s 4-0 victory against the opponent on Matchday 17 of the current Ghana Premier League season.
Courtesy of today’s win, Hearts of Oak has moved up to the top four and stands a good chance of claiming the league title if the team can add consistency to its game.
