Liverpool assistant coach Pep Lijnders says that Takumi Minamino’s pace of work every day makes him and Jurgen Klopp say “wow.”
Minamino was signed by RB Salzburg last season and has made three appearances for the Reds this season, coming off the bench against Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Japanese international made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season and is eager to improve his score this time.
And it seems like it’s on the right track to do exactly that, according to Lijnders.
“Wow, what a wish!” said Minamino’s Liverpool assistant.

“He is someone who also converts our collective game, just like Roberto [Firmino] does. His development has been outstanding, he always gives everything, every day. “
Liverpool will face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night and Minamino is in line to start against the Gunners.
Curtis Jones is also in contention to play.
On the Englishman, Lijnders said: “He’s the guy we really like. So much bravery, courage, self-confidence, but with a constant focus on learning.”
“He’s probably one of the most offensive midfielders we have. Always the first to make a surprise move from midfield, always the first to shoot.”
