The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called on the Government to shut down, without delay, the alleged Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQI) Intersex Rights office in Accra.

He also asked the government to arrest and prosecute the brains behind the establishment of the bureau.

Action is necessary to prevent non-compliance with Ghanaian laws and a possible threat to peace.

A statement signed by the Reverend Professor Paul Frimpong-Manso, on behalf of the National Executive Council, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, said that the government must summon all foreign diplomats who allegedly participated in the opening of the office and let them know. that his action violated the sovereignty of the country.

“We also ask Parliament as representatives of the people to convene the Representatives of the President in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior to explain to the Ghanaians what actions they have taken in relation to this matter to protect the sovereignty and security of the state of Ghana.” the statement said.

“We also support the call for comprehensive legislation to address LGBTQI issues in Ghana once and for all to resolve any future controversies.”

He said the Council was working closely with other ecumenical and interfaith groups through the National Coalition for Human Sexual Rights and Family Values to build strong national resistance to any movement of outside forces.

The measure includes elevating Ghanaians to any retrograde neoliberal policies that denigrate their cultural values and dignity as a sovereign nation.

“In conclusion, the GPCC is very determined in its stance against the LGBTQI movement and its activities in Ghana and stands firm with all other stakeholders in this matter …”

The Declaration expressed the hope that “the government will take concrete steps to reassure Ghanaians about their unwillingness to succumb to pressure from some notable Western powers to sell our cherished values and safeguard the future of our children from an evil generation. .. to destroy us. “

The action is also completely at odds with God’s laws as detailed in the Holy Bible regarding God’s plan of creation and the sanctity of marriage between man and woman, he said.

“While we reaffirm our support for the National Coalition for Human Sexual Rights and Appropriate Family Values and other like-minded groups in their positions on this matter, the Council calls on the government to officially state its unequivocal position on this new development.” , the statement said.
