Some of the parliamentary candidates who contested the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) ballot have applauded presidential candidate Percival Kofi Akpaloo for describing them as people with no common sense.

Candidates are currently chasing the presidential candidate for the money they invested in the elections because he promised to return the money after the polls.

Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo has led all his parliamentary candidates who lost in the elections to the clean-up, describing them as people without common sense.

According to him, it makes no sense that they demand the return of the money they invested in their campaigns.

A few days ago, the candidates accused Mr. Akpaloo of deception, fraud and bad faith.

At a press conference, Madame Gifty Hammond, on behalf of the candidates, said that Akpaloo promised them financial and logistical resources for his campaign in the run-up to the elections, but did not keep his promise.

He added that their presidential candidate also asked them to apply for a loan, after which he will pay them back, but Kofi Akpaloo, who allegedly received financial support from the nuclear power plant, including vehicles, has since been ignoring their calls and creating an impression as if there is nothing. wrong.

Madame Hammond, who was a parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso Central, described her boss’s actions as fraudulent and that she defrauded them for her personal gain.

But Akpaloo replied that he described them as foolish and indicated that he cannot be the one to reimburse them.

Akpaloo denied asking them for loans to finance his campaigns.

For him, it makes no sense for them to make such demands, and he wondered why they didn’t join the NDC and NPP if they had money.

He said the candidates want to take advantage of their popularity to stay relevant.

He said that it would not be important for him to answer these things because common sense should tell them that they did not have to ask for a refund.

He asked who will pay the loans he took for the elections.

He added that the candidates borrowed his logo and did not pay for it, and yet they are asking him to repay their loans.

In reaction to these comments, Ayawaso Central parliamentary candidate Gifty Hammond expressed disappointment at the candidate for describing them as nonsensical.

According to her, the candidate asked them to use their own resources for the elections, although they did not put the agreement in writing.

She alleged that the candidate received financial support from President Akufo-Addo but has refused to give them his share of the money.

“Akpaloo told us that he received financial support from the president. He asked us to use our money for the campaign and he will give us a refund after the money arrives. But he has refused to give us our money. Some of our party officials have attacked us because they think they have given us money ”.

Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said that all parties support their candidates, but Akpaloo did not support them.

“If Akpaloo says we lack common sense, we have listened. It has shown that it lacks credibility. Next time, we would come to an agreement and document it. “

For his part, Christian Kwabena Kwakye, a party executive in the North West region, asked Akpaloo to pay them or they would wash their dirty clothes in public.

He said there are dirty secrets that they would reveal to the public if Akpaloo did not refund their money.

He also confirmed that Akpaloo told them he received money from the presidency.

“Sir. Akpaloo told us that the president supported him and that is why we want him to give us our money. We will not allow him to deceive us. We reached an agreement with him. We have evidence to that effect. We want him to pay us. We can show that he did an agreement with us. We do not want to comment further because we may be forced to reveal more secrets. We will take our money. You incurred no cost. Your campaign was sponsored by the president. You did not use your money for the campaign. Akpaloo You should pay us. If you don’t pay us, you will hear from us all over the world. You must be prepared for us. “
