Claudio Marchisio has urged Paul Pogba on social media to end his horrible spell at Manchester United by rejoining the Serie A giants Juventus.
Pogba has endured another very difficult period at Old Trafford due to a mixture of poor form and being dropped by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer quite a bit so far this season.
Pogba recently admitted that this season with United has been the most difficult of his career so far, before stating that being off international duty with France has been a “breath of fresh air”.
And after Pogba posted a photo on Twitter of himself wearing his France colors, former Juventus star Marchisio had a simple message for the Frenchman.
Marchisio responded in the social media post: ‘Please @paulpogba. Come to @juventusfc … you will be happy again. Me too #until the end. ‘
Marchisio, who spent 25 years with the Serie A giants and joined the youth ranks in 1993, played with Pogba in Turin between 2012-2016.
Pogba excelled at Juventus and became a world-class player before rejoining United in the summer of 2016 for a world record fee of £ 89 million.
However, since his return to Old Trafford, Pogba has come under intense scrutiny, with his inconsistency massively plaguing his United career.
Before the international break, the Frenchman was eliminated by Solskjaer for United’s two most recent games, as the Red Devils were beaten by Istanbul Basaksehir and beat Everton at Goodison Park.
And Pogba revealed that he was delighted to get away with France and take a break from his duties with United.
The 27-year-old told RTL France: ‘I have never known such a difficult period in my career. The French team is a breath of fresh air, the group is exceptional, it’s magical ”.
France coach Didier Deschamps, who gave Pogba an important role in his 2018 World Cup-winning team, has admitted that Pogba is not in the best shape and is not “ satisfied in what he does ” at United.
The coach of the national team said last Friday: ‘He is not in his best shape, of course. It’s hard to remember to be positive. Obviously, he is not in one of his best moments.
Like all players who have a club situation that is not positive, they are also mentally shocked. I know it quite well and it can happen in a few moments.
“However, we cannot say that he is satisfied with what he does at his club.”
