Former Manchester United Gary Neville teammates Paul Ince and Jaap Stam have a dimmer view of the Red Devils’ prospects next season than the hopeful Sky Sports expert.
Former United right back Neville believes that United’s displays of recent times, plus the current factors at play in the soccer transfer market, will mean that his former team may approach the top of the table in 2020/21.
United are currently in fifth place, 37 points behind champion-elect Liverpool, but Neville believes they can improve.
“I don’t know why, but I feel a little bit more confident in Manchester United’s ability to challenge next season just because of what happened, and the fact that they started to play much better before this block,” said Neville Sky Sports. .
