Parts of Greater Accra and the central regions have been flooded after a heavy downpour in the early hours of Saturday.
Residents in affected areas such as Accra and Kasoa were seen rescuing what was left of their properties on higher ground after floodwater entered their homes.
Some travelers had also abandoned their vehicles in the moving water to save themselves, while others were trying to push what was left of their rapidly plunging cars out of the waterway.
IS THIS YOUR ACCRA? 🤔

In other suburbs, water is seen running through the streets, sweeping away any obstacles in its path.
So far no casualties have been reported, but affected residents are demanding that something be done about the drainage facilities below these areas.
Hmmm Accra
Little rain from heaven and there’s a flood
Your drainage system is weak

Meanwhile, social media users have expressed their feelings about the development.
Do we really have leaders in this country? Enough of NPP and NDC. Youth must stand up for what we want !!
This is happening in Kasoa, Greater Accra. So scary! pic.twitter.com/W5XW07JG0Z– Kweku Anansi🕷 (@kweku__anansi) October 10, 2020
So there is a place on the Accra-kasoa highway that always collects so much water that cars cannot move. Force drivers to create their own lane on the other side of the road. My problem is that the authorities see this over and over every time it rains, but they don’t do anything about it.

If you are from Kasoa coming to Accra, I think it is better to go through Kumasi than through Weija.

Once again, terrible videos of flooding in parts of Accra.
Be safe friends.
