Twitter has seen many comments about the great victory of Black Stars over the Asian champions in a friendly
There was a lot of excitement when the Ghanaians took to social media to share their reactions to the national team’s 5-1 victory over Qatar in an international friendly on Monday.
Fresh off a disappointing 3-0 loss to Mali in a first friendly match on Friday, the Black Stars bounced back quickly in style as they handed over the Asian champions and the 2022 World Cup took a beating at the Titanic Stadium in Antalya, Turkey.
England-born Brentford winger Tariqe Fosu opened the scoring for Ghana with a rebound, but Ali Almoez restored parity for Qatar shortly before the break.
After the break, the Black Stars upped the ante when captain Andre Ayew scored two goals, while Saudi Arabia’s Samuel Owusu and substitute Caleb Ekuban added a goal each.
Arsenal’s new signing, Thomas Partey, was in the thick of things when he assisted two of Ghana’s goals on the day, one less than Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew, who scored Andre Ayew’s second goal.
Below are the best Twitter reactions after the game:
Did Thomas Partey get 2 assists against Qatar? Prime Zidane goes outside.

Samuel Owusu is playing better than Timo Werner and Kai Havertz at Chelsea so far! #Black stars

Samuel Owusu will go straight into Chelsea’s starting 11 because he’s better than Pulisic, but Chelsea fans aren’t quite ready for this conversation. #Black stars

I think Dede Ayew is playing well today. The number of passes he has made is equivalent to his applause, so he is having a balanced game. #Black stars

Relief for CK and the boys … much better performance but the technical team needs to work on defense!#Black stars

Mali’s game was nothing special. Great result.
I think Ghanaians have lost their love for the stars, so people focus on their negative acting.
That is my opinion https://t.co/RGNdFpdnPu

I know critics will say it was simply Qatar. It is not just Qatar, they are Asian champions and host of the 2022 World Cup. We must look at the positive and stop being always naysayers and traffickers for once. @akonnor_ck and the boys #Black stars #Qatar
