Ghana Investment Promotion Center Executive Director Yofi Grant says President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo will not face investor support policy challenges, no matter how the parliamentary makeup turns out.

According to him, the intention and purposes of Akufo-Addo are valid and for the good of Ghanaians, something that he says the opposition Democratic National Congress will not try to sabotage.

“The support would not change, perhaps it would prefer to increase.

“The responsibility of the president to lead the government and a country should not be compromised. I think it has taken us in a very positive direction, it has reestablished Ghana as a major player in world affairs, it has spearheaded Ghana’s economic and financial regeneration and emancipation, ”he said.

According to him, Ghana proudly has a reputation for being politically stable, adding that anyone who tries to usurp that threatens the country’s interests at heart.

Yofi Grant praised the Election Commission for organizing what he describes as an election that has affirmed and repositioned Ghana as one of the best in the practice of the rule of law.

“At the end of the day, when the elections were finally declared, it was consistent with all the results from independent observers and even the press.

“All that information was from the pink sheet, so I still strongly believe that everything the EC did is in the right direction,” he said.

He stated that although the PNP has a slim majority, that is what all democracy is about.

“We would have loved to have all the seats in parliament if we could, but we are subject to the will and testament of the people,” he said.
