Wednesday’s front pages focus on reported talks between Barcelona and Juventus and also look at defenders that could be on their way to the Camp Nou this summer.
Sport have Miralem Pjanic and Mattia De Sciglio on their front page with the headline ‘Double Swap’ and a report the duo are closing in on a move to Spain.
The deal would be a swap which would see Jean-Clair Todibo and one other player move the other way. Ivan Rakitic or Arturo Vidal are the most likely options.
Over at Mundo Deportivo their front page is devoted to De Sciglio, Matthijs de Ligt, Milan Skriniar and Daniele Rugani with the headline ‘Super Market.’
MD report Barca want to strengthen their defense because Gerard Pique is aging and Samuel Umtiti’s injury problems are a concern.
The club are said to have asked Juve about De Ligt, while the Serie A champions have reportedly offered Rugani and are keen on Todibo.
Barca are also said to have inquired about Inter Milan’s Skriniar. A deal for the defender is said to be tricky to do, although Inter are quite keen on Umtiti.
