The national communications officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has asked Ghanaians to ignore Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah’s search to dismiss the video of President Akufo-Addo’s ‘bribery’.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is known to have said the viral video is part of a grand plan by the Democratic National Congress to tarnish the president’s image with corruption allegations ahead of the 2020 elections.
But speaking on Accra-based Okay FM in an interview, Sammy Gyamfi indicated that Kojo Oppong Nkrumah should be ignored rather because everyone in Ghana knows that he is paid to lie.
He said that he doesn’t envy Oppong Nkrumah’s work because he certainly has to say something to defend his boss.
“We all know that Oppong Nkrumah is paid to lie. You have to say something to defend your boss, so I understand. The video clearly shows the president taking bribes and this video was recorded after the 2016 elections, ”he said on Accra-based Okay FM.
For Mr. Gyamfi, the President of Ghana has been exposed for his love of corruption and there is no going back as the people of Ghana need to vote for him.
