Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fight with Chris Wilder shuts down Teddy Sheringham’s opinion

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer proved Teddy Sheringham wrong when he faced a furious feud with Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder on Thursday.

The Manchester United manager collided with the Blades manager on the touchline as the game, which the Red Devils won 3-2, came to an end.

The dispute was sparked by Ethan Ampadu knocking down Marcus Rashford, prompting the Norwegian to launch a verbal attack on his contemporary.

Wilder could be seen returning it to Solskjaer as the duo discussed their cases.

Solskjaer is not known for clashing with other coaches like the man he replaced at Old Trafford, José Mourinho, for example.

And he’s largely seen as a “nice” character without a slump.

His former United teammate, Teddy Sheringham, once said of him: “He’s the nicest man in the world. All the coaches I knew were good had this nasty little streak that put people in their shoes. I can really I can’t imagine Ole doing that.

“But he’s obviously doing a fantastic job. He’s obviously exceeded his expectations since he got in there. He has to get the job.”

Solskjaer’s willingness to get stuck and have a verbal feud with Wilder, who doesn’t flinch violently, shows that he’s not always the “nice” type you’ve seen in the press.

Sheringham said he couldn’t imagine Solskjaer being angry

In fact, two men who have played with him have said otherwise.

Ashley Young once said of Solskjaer: “A lot of people in the press still see him as the boy-faced killer. But it was like I said before, when he came he was like the boss. [Sir Alex Ferguson] He had come back through the door. When he gets down to business, he’s serious.

“Sometimes in the locker room he has had to lose control, and I think that’s just when things are not going well. You have to tell him.

Ashley Young admitted that Solskjaer has a nasty side

“He has a nice side and a horrible side, which I think you need. A lot is said about the coaches, but ultimately it depends on the players.”

While Chris Smalling said, “I think [Ole] He has that kind of nasty side. I think all managers have that, the so-called hair dryer treatment when things need a little change. “
