The Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, says Okyenman is solidly united behind the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in his bid to win the December 2020 general election.

In a durbar held in honor of President Akufo-Addo on Friday, October 2, 2020, on the second day of the president’s 3-day tour of the Eastern Region, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin noted that the president has shown that yes, “A president for all Ghanaians.”

According to Okyenhene, “all his policies (of President Akufo-Addo) have affected all parts of Ghana and have been of immense benefit to all Ghanaians. This is because he has an ancestry in which greed and the love of money are avoided. President Akufo-Addo is service to the people of Ghana ”.

The Chief continued, “The president could easily have been someone whose sole motivation in office was to amass wealth for himself. But no, it hasn’t at all. On the contrary, it has implemented policies that have benefited us all and improved our standard of living ”.

Referring to President Akufo-Addo’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin applauded the seventeen (17) speeches delivered by the president, which so far have outlined the measures the Government is taking to defeat the pandemic. as well as the Steps to Safely Relieve Restrictions.

“It has taught us the importance of observing and adhering to the COVID-19 protocols. We must thank God that, at this stage of our national life, he has given us a leader like him. At the height of the pandemic, he provided us with free water and electricity. It also gave subsidies to front-line health workers. This shows the great generosity of his heart, “he added.

The effective management of the economy during the last three and a half years by the Government of Akufo-Addo, he stressed, has ensured that the pandemic, which has wreaked havoc on all the world’s economies, has not brought incalculable difficulties to the people of Ghana. . .

At Free SHS, Okyenhene noted that this policy has ensured that money – or the lack of it – has not denied any Ghanaian children access to education, adding that other policies being initiated by the president, such as 1-District -1-Dam, 1-Village-1-Dam, NABCO, the development of road infrastructure and the Zipline drone delivery service are paying off.

“He was born in a good home. She began to believe in the public values of fairness, equality, freedom and the search for justice. All of these are virtues that Nana Addo possesses. It is said that, by their fruits, you will know them. If her policies are paying off, we at Okyeman say ‘Nana toaso,’ she added.

For Okyeman residents, who have been beneficiaries of the president’s policies, Okyenhene gave advice.

“If you are from Okyenman or a Ghanaian, and your child is a beneficiary of Free SHS and all other government policies, and you think there is a new wind of development, and you don’t vote well on December 7th …” He replied , eliciting enthusiastic applause from the meeting.

For his part, President Akufo-Addo thanked the Okyenhene and the Okyeman for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation.

He told the audience that “my government did not come to do lazy work. All aspects of our national life have benefited from our policies, whether in health, roads, industrialization or agriculture. My Government has worked for the benefit of all Ghanaians ”.

“I have shown that I did not come to lie to the Ghanaians, but to work for the progress and development of Ghana and all Ghanaians. I ask the people of Ghana to rate me based on my track record and if they are satisfied with it, they should give me the opportunity to do more for them by voting for me. “

The president also told those present that “I am a man of my word. I did not come to fool anyone, and that is what has given me the courage to seek your support in the next elections. This is what will strengthen me to consolidate the achievements made in my first term ”.
