Former MUSIGA president Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, lost his parliamentary primaries in the New Patriotic Party race in June to run as a deputy for the Asante Akyem Sur constituency in the Ashanti region.

Commenting on Obour’s loss, Okyeame Kwame, who has been a close friend of his musician colleague and a staunch supporter of his political career, said he cried because he knows Obour would have made an incredible deputy.

I cried when Obuor lost his primaries. He is the most selfless human being I know and I know that he would have been an incredible MP for the people. I am confident that it will succeed in the future.”He told Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Wednesday.

When asked if he too has political ambitions, he said “Going into politics has crossed my mind 50% of the time. My wife says I don’t have a heart for politics, but I don’t think I should have a heart before I get into it.”.
