Eight youth players who died in Offinso in the recent tragedy were buried.
The burial took place this morning in Offinso in the Ashanti region, specifically on the esplanade of the Palace of Offinso.
Four players who are Muslim have already been buried in regards to Islamic religious demands.
The sad incident occurred on September 19, 2020 when African Soccer Vision Academy players and officials were returning from Kumasi to register for the next youth league.
The bus carrying the team hit a tree and then fell into the River Offin.
The burial ceremony was attended by a delegation led by the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Director General of the National Sports Authority were at the burial ceremony.
Also present at the funeral were members of the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association and the Ashanti Regional Football Association.
FIFA and CAF have sent their condolences to the bereaved families.
