Odion Ighalo could be forced to miss some of Man Utd’s remaining matches as Shanghai Shenhua expects the striker to return from his loan period for July.
The Nigerian striker has impressed in his brief time at Old Trafford since joining the club on loan in January, but his deal expires next month.
United hoped to extend that date even further to allow for the delay in completing the Premier League season due to the coronavirus.
But according to Sky Sports, Ighalo could be called up again at the end of his loan contract, as Shenhua wants him ready in time for the Chinese Super League season, which begins in July.

United was considering signing Ighalo permanently this summer after being satisfied with his impact.
That might be the only way to keep the 30-year-old club at the club, with Shenhua expecting a transfer fee of £ 20 million.
Since the transfer window won’t open until the end of the season, Ighalo’s signing will likely require his loan to be extended, as well as a pre-contract agreement.

Regardless of whether he signs a new deal or not, Shenhua is not in immediate danger of losing Ighalo, who is still under contract until 2022.
