It was all joy and excitement when Aspirants Unite for Victory Co-Convenor, Mr. Bice Obour Osei Kuffour, joined constituency executives on a campaign tour of various communities in the Asante Akyem South constituency.
Addressing a crowd in Asante Akyem Obogu, President Obour called on all aggrieved members and sympathizers of the party clamoring for a “skirt and blouse” vote in the upcoming elections due to some past mistreatment by electoral district executives to desist from such action since they oppose the success of the presidential candidate (Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo) and the PNP in general.
Obour explained the need to prioritize the achievements made by the government of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the deputy, lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng. He asked those present to join in and work instead of insisting on personal benefits.
“The administration headed by the PNP and Nana Addo has done much to make Ghana proud as a citizen and as a member of this great party. From the days of President Kuffour until now, the NPP has never disappointed the people of Ghana in fulfilling its promises. The PNP through its flagship programs and policies such as FSHS, planting for food and employment, youth in forestry, etc. It has impacted the lives of Ghanaians in various ways, ”he lamented.
In his hometown of Juaso, President Obour led the crowd to chant the most famous NPP slogan “Obunumankoma” and the “4 More 4 Nana, 4 More 4 Lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng”; a sight to behold.
President Obour, in his address to the party faithful, reminded the assembled people of some of the incalculable difficulties that the John Mahama administration brought to the Ghanaians. Important price increases in the prices of public services, that is; Electricity and water bills in the wake of the ‘Dumsor’ crisis, the cancellation of the assignments of nurses and teachers and various corruption scandals that multiplied during the 8 years of NDC’s rule. The crowd in response chanted “NDC, Never Again”
Obour called on everyone to support the PNP presidential candidate, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, and the parliamentary lawyer candidate Kwaku Asante Boateng. He ended his speech with an Akan adage “baabi a Osono gyina no, 3h) ara na ne ba nso gyina”, that is, ‘the baby elephant is with the mother elephant’
