The Ghana Football Association (GFA) says that some of the people involved in Anas’ ‘Number 12’, broadcast 2 years ago, have been charged.
According to them, the Association’s Prosecutor’s Office is in charge of the case and has begun to involve processes.
Former President of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Nii Komiete Doku and Mr. Kofi Manu have been charged with abuse of office against article 25 (1) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.
They were also charged with bribery, against article 27 (1) and (2) of the GFA Code of Ethics, 2019.
These two personalities are expected to make the Defense Statements available in writing to the GFA Secretariat before 4:00 pm or via [email protected] on or before Thursday, September 24, 2020.
However, they are allowed an option for a personal hearing before the GFA Ethics Committee at a date and time that has not yet been communicated.
The Ghana Football Association mentioned that if either of the two men does not choose an option, the case will be resolved without their presence.
Meanwhile, other incriminated persons will receive indictments from the Association’s Prosecutor’s Office in the coming days.
This comes after the GFA officially requested investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to provide it with full recordings of each incident.
