Thursday’s victory at the University of Ghana appears to be unforgettable.
Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School had fought an uphill battle to secure bragging rights when they rose to the top in the newly completed National Science & Maths (NSMQ).
They defeated Adisadel College and Opoku Ware Senior High School, who were fighting for the enviable trophy on October 8, 2020.
The euphoria that filled the auditorium of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) in the final embers of the competition seeped into The Multimedia Group facilities as alumni of the newly crowned champions would not let peace prevail.
JoyBusiness’ George Wiafe broke into the offices reminding his colleagues that he was celebrating six.
I knew JoyNews’ @garyalsmith, @lexisbill Y @gwiafe I wouldn’t let this one slip. Congratulations guys! Congratulations Presec💥 #NSMQFinals pic.twitter.com/R31Z07Bqwv

Deputy Health Minister Benard Okoe-Boye, an Odade3 himself who had come forward for a Personality Profile on Joy FM, didn’t help matters. He represented his year group in the contest during his school days.
She joined Joy FM Drive Time host Lexis Bill, another former student, to promote her latest achievement through hymns and denominations.
George Addo of Presec @addojunr No more talking about Six. He is preparing for Seven but Nathaniel Attoh of Augusco (@ NiiAttoh5) Say to relax😂😂. #NSMQFinals pic.twitter.com/AVULmo5FwE

At the end of the competition, PRESEC had a total of 36 points and its close competitors Adisadel had 31 points. OWASS scored 21 points.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Akufo has joined the stream of congratulatory messages arriving for the children.
He tweeted; “Congratulations to PRESEC Legon for the emerging winners at the # NSMQ2020. Winning the number 6 makes them the undisputed kings of the competition. Well deserved, and I look forward to welcoming you to the Jubilee House soon. “
