Sammi Awuku, a national organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party (PNP), has argued that the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections would not be an easy task for them.

He made the remarks at the official launch of ‘Aspirants Unite for Victory’, a group made up of parliamentary hopefuls who lost in the PNP parliamentary primaries.

The young politician admitted that campaigning for a sitting government is not an easy task, so the PNP must approach this election with an opposition mentality.

Mr. Awuku said in the opposition, you would have to attack, but in the government, you would have to defend your record saying, “For me, fighting for re-election is more difficult than fighting from the opposition and that is why we need everyone in the PNP Send to make sure we cross on Dec 7, 2020.

“Victory will not come on a silver platter and that is why the president and vice president are campaigning as if we were in opposition.”

Sammi Awuku said that the NPP will leave no stone unturned to retain the NPP’s victory on December 7, 2020.

He asked the group to work effortlessly and focus on first-time voters, undecided voters, his main supporters, and disgruntled members of the PNP.

He charged them to work together with the party leadership to ensure the victory of the PNP.

He spoke against the politics of insults, preached the agenda on the politics of ideas and achievements marked by the PNP.
