NPP Parliamentary Candidate Yapei Kusowgu Dies in Car Accident

Abu Kamara, the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for the Yapei Kusowgu constituency in the Savannah region, died in a fatal car accident.

According to the communications director of the Savannah Regional Nuclear Power Plant, Mohammed Issah, the car he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with an articulator truck at the Datoyili police barrier on the outskirts of Tamale.

He was reportedly killed on the spot with an aide, Majeed Kotochi (a young boss) and Adam Abu, another occupant of the car.

Therefore, the Party office in the Savannah region has ordered the immediate suspension of all campaign activities in the region and party flags must be flown at half-staff.

“These directives are in line with the party’s respect and condolences to the families of our deceased heroes; Hon. Abu Kamara, Mr. Kotochi Majeed and Mr. Adam Abu, ”said the communications director.

He concluded that “we cry with the families in these difficult times. May the Good Lord grant you Jannat-al Firdaus. Amen.”
